Dreamy Creamy Delight


I don't follow recipes but my heart for making desserts! And Ramadan is the time when there has been at least one dessert a day. Yes, I said at least one because traditionally they prepare 2-3 sweet dishes a day including puddings (like pez, khawru, gauty halwa etc.) and pancakes for example malpua, pelway and all). So, here's one such dessert from this Ramadan. I didn't follow any particular measurements for this recipe so just sharing how I made it.

Dreamy Creamy Delight Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 litre full cream milk
  • 2+1 cups whipped cream
  • 200 grams dark chocolate
  • 1/2 tin+2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 roll Marie biscuits
  • 1 teaspoon custard powder
  • 1 teaspoon cornflour
  • 2+1 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee powder
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Cardamom powder for fragrance
  • 3-4 drops vanilla essence


For garnishing:
  • 1/2 chocolate cookie crumbs (I have used 1 roll hid & seek cookies)
  • Chopped almonds
  • Raisins


Recipe:




1st layer: Marie biscuit pudding - soak one roll Marie biscuits in one litre full cream milk. Add 1 teaspoon custard powder, 1 teaspoon cornflour, 2 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk, cardamom powder, a pinch of salt and cook till thickens. Cool and churn to get smooth texture.

2nd layer: melt 200g dark chocolate with 1 tablespoon butter.
In half cup water add 1 teaspoon coffee+ 1 teaspoon cocoa powder+1 tablespoon sugar and boil. Add it to one cup whipped fresh cream then add melted chocolate and mix well.

3rd layer: 2 cups whipped fresh cream+vanilla essence+1/2 tin condensed milk
For topping sprinkle nuts, raisins and chocolate cookie crumbs.
